Suman Hanif


Suman Hanif is an award-winning Writer-Producer and the visionary behind Pageful Productions. Her work challenges societal taboos through her storytelling. A pivotal moment in her career came with the acquisition of her short film "True Colours," supported by the BFI NETWORK featuring Amy-Leigh Hickman and Tilly Keeper (Netflix's "YOU"). Under Suman's leadership, Pageful Productions has embarked on a series of groundbreaking projects. Notably, 'A Happy Ending' secured joint funding from Channel 4 and Bradford Council, showcasing the company's commitment to pushing creative boundaries. Her debut feature film, 'Tell Me About It,' has just been acquired for world-wide distribution and set for release in 2024.


Suman's journey into the world of filmmaking began with her foray into producing her own projects, allowing her to gain valuable experience in various facets of the industry. Her early portfolio includes notable contributions to acclaimed television programs such as "Jay's Workshop" (Warner Media/BBC), "Shop Smart Save Money" (Channel 5), and "The Big Questions" (Mentorn Media/BBC).

Throughout her career, Suman has actively participated in esteemed mentoring and training programs, including Filmmaker25, Screen Yorkshire's Bootcamp, BFI Creative Producer Lab, and Indie Lab West Yorkshire which have significantly enriched her expertise and solidified her reputation in the industry.
